Liebe Mitglieder der One Health Platform, liebe One Health-Forscher:innen,
auf diesem Wege möchten wir Sie darüber informieren, dass ab sofort die Einreichung von Anträgen zur Förderung von inter- und/oder transdisziplinären Vernetzungsprojekten unter dem Dach der One Health Platform (OHP) möglich ist.
Inter- und/oder transdisziplinäre Vernetzungsprojekte sind Verbünde mit mindestens zwei wissenschaftlichen Partner:innen an jeweils verschiedenen Standorten und aus jeweils unterschiedlichen Disziplinen und/oder Sektoren mit einem definierten Finanzrahmen. Sie sollen Strukturen oder nachhaltig agierende Netzwerke etc. aufbauen, die spätestens im Anschluss an die Förderphase für mehr als nur die antragstellenden Forschungsstandorte nutzbar sind. Charakteristisch für Vernetzungsprojekte ist der inter- und/oder transdisziplinäre Ansatz unter Einbeziehung verschiedener Institute, Fachrichtungen und/oder Vertreter:innen der zuständigen Behörden bzw. Praxispartner:innen. Die Relevanz für die One Health-Forschung muss ausgewiesen werden. Dafür müssen mindestens zwei Disziplinen (beispielsweise Veterinärmedizin, Humanmedizin, Biologie, Klimaforschung, Umweltforschung, Sozialwissenschaften etc.) mit Relevanz für die One Health-Forschung im Verbund an einer gemeinsamen Forschungsfragestellung zusammenarbeiten. Um den Vorwurf etwaiger Doppelförderung auszuschließen, muss die Abgrenzung zu bereits bestehenden Förderungen herausgearbeitet werden.
Die Projektdauer soll 36 Monate nicht überschreiten. Jeder/Jede Projektpartner:in kann maximal 300.000 Euro beantragen (die Summe muss nachvollziehbar durch Projektstruktur und Aufwand begründet werden). Die maximale Fördersumme pro Verbund ist auf 1,2 Mio. Euro beschränkt. Hinzu kommt ggf. noch die Projekpauschale.
Jeder der Partner beantragt ein eigenes Projekt zu der gemeinsamen Forschungsfragestellung des Verbundes. In einem Mantelteil des Verbundantrags muss die Interaktion der Teilprojekte im Sinne der One Health-Idee dargestellt werden. Einer der Partner:innen übernimmt dabei die Koordination des Verbundes und reicht den Antrag ein.

Thematisch müssen sich die Anträge an der Forschungsagenda der One Health Platform orientieren. Anträge aus dem Umweltbreich sind ausdrücklich erwünscht.
Antragsberechtigt sind alle Mitglieder der One Health Platform. (Bis zur vollständigen Überführung der Nationalen Forschungsplattform für Zoonosen (ZOOP) in die OHP gelten alle Mitglieder der ZOOP automatisch auch als Mitglieder der OHP). Die Voraussetzungen für eine Mitgliedschaft sind in der Satzung der OHP festgelegt. Die Beantragung einer Mitgliedschaft ist kostenfrei und jederzeit möglich.
Das Ausschreibungsverfahren ist zweistufig. Nach formaler und inhaltlicher Prüfung durch die Geschäftsstelle und das Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) werden die bestplatziertesten Anträge zur Sitzung des SAB zugelassen. Bei der Begutachtungssitzung des SABs stellt
die Koordination oder eine benannte Vertretung den Verbundantrag vor und beantwortet Fragen der Gutachter:innen.

One Health Platform: Funding for inter- and/or transdisciplinary networking projects - application submission possible
Dear members of the One Health Platform, dear One Health researchers
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that it is now possible to submit applications for funding for interdisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary networking projects under the umbrella of the One Health Platform (OHP).
Interdisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary networking projects are collaborations with at least two scientific partners at different locations and from different disciplines and/or sectors with a defined financial framework. They are intended to establish structures or sustainable networks etc. that can be used by more than just the applicant research locations by the end of the funding phase at the latest. Networking projects are characterized by an interdisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary approach involving various institutes, disciplines and/or representatives of the responsible authorities or practice partners. The relevance for One Health research must be demonstrated. This requires at least two disciplines (e.g. veterinary medicine, human medicine, biology, climate research, environmental research, social sciences, etc.) with relevance to One Health research to work together on a joint research question. In order to rule out any accusations of double funding, the distinction to existing funding must be worked out.
The project duration should not exceed 36 months. Each project partner can apply for a maximum of 300,000 euros (the amount must be clearly justified by the project structure and expenditure). The maximum funding amount per association is limited to 1.2 million euros. The project lump sum may be added to this. Each partner applies for a separate project on the joint research question of the consortium. The interaction of the sub-projects in the sense of the One Health idea must be presented in a jacket section of the collaborative application. One of the partners is responsible for coordinating the consortium and submits the application.

Thematically, the applications must be oriented towards the research agenda of the One Health Platform. Applications from the environmental field are expressly welcome.
All members of the One Health Platform are eligible to apply. (Until the complete transfer of the German Research Platform for Zoonoses (ZOOP) into the OHP, all members of the ZOOP are automatically considered members of the OHP). The requirements for membership are laid down in the OHP statutes. Applying for membership is free of charge and possible at any time.
The application procedure is a two-stage process. After formal and substantive review by the office and the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), the best-placed applications are admitted to the SAB meeting. At the review meeting of the SAB, the coordinator or a designated representative presents the collaborative proposal and answers questions from the reviewers.
