Vor dem Hintergrund der SARS-CoV-2 Ausbreitung in Deutschland und damit einhergehenden zunehmenden Reisbeschränkungen entfällt die ACHIEVE Spring School im Vorfeld der GfV Jahrestagung. Eine Durchführung der für den 23. und 24. März 2020 in Berlin geplanten Veranstaltung mit dem Titel "Stepping stone to an academic career in Virology", welche gemeinsam von der ACHIEVE Nachwuchsakademie und der Nationalen Forschungsplattform für Zoonosen geplant wurde, scheint unter den gegebenen Umständen als nicht sinnvoll. Auch die während der GfV-Tagung geplante Kontaktbörse wird abgesagt. Momentan wird jedoch die Option geprüft, die Veranstaltung zu einem späteren Termin nachzuholen.
